Campouts/Events 2009 (printable view) CAMPOUT INFORMATION SHEET Primary Activity: Water-skiing and water activities Camp Location: Camp James Ray Date: Friday, September 17, 2004 Gathering time: 6:00 P.M. at RBF Leave Time: 6:30 P.M. Return Time: 1:00 P.M. Sunday September 19 At Blockbuster Emergency Phone number: 972-740-7073 (Dan Lassiter) 903-786-2591 Ranger at Camp James Ray ACTIVITIES Camp James Ray does not have a campsite big enough for the entire troop; therefore the troop will be camping on two campsites. The Badger, Moose, and Shark patrols will be on the Navaho campsite and the Pyro, Pedro, and Fox will be on the Cherokee campsite. The adults will be split between the two sites. These two sites are next to each other. For water-skiing and water activities the troop will be divided into 2 groups. Group 1 will be the scouts in the TFC program and troop guides. Group 2 will be all other scouts. The water activities will be water skiing, tubing and canoeing. If you would like to have water wars, the scouts need to bring water guns, water balloons will be provided. Water Safety—In order to participate in the water skiing, tubing, or canoeing you must pass the swim test. If you passed the swim test at summer camp, or you completed either the swimming or life saving merit badges within the last year, then
you will not have to take the swim test at the camp. WATER
